How much gold in WoW should a lvl 16 blood elf mage have?

I know that I didn’t start really accumulating gold until well after lvl 16.

When I first started playing my friend gave me 10 gold. That lasted me forever. Just sell the junk that you find and auction off halfway decent stuff and you shouldn’t have a problem

I’m a level 18 and i only have 2 because i helped someone out. Later on i as a level 20 i earned my first piece of gold. So you shouldn’t really have any gold at this point. If you do that’s awesome and keep doin’ what you’re doin’.

Sounds like you’re doing really well! Very impressed you were able to get so much Gold at level 16. I don’t think I had an entire Gold piece until level 25 (just played about with pieces of Silver until then).
If I’m honest, after a couple of months I ended up buying some Gold from a website. I know a lot of people talk about Gold buying being a risky transaction, but I guess I found a good one!
